Europe's Top Personal Finance Apps on Android in Q1 2021

As the first quarter of 2021 came to a close, Sensor Tower provides a snapshot of the top personal finance applications on the Android platform in Europe. Here's how the leading apps performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Money Manager & Expenses showed a steady increase in weekly active users, growing from 67K in the last week of December 2020 to nearly 130K by the end of March 2021. Downloads for the app also saw a general upward trend, with a peak of around 30K in mid-March.

1Money: Expense Tracker Budget experienced a fluctuation in revenue, with a high of $13K in the first week of January, dropping to around $6K by the end of March. The app's downloads and active users saw a slight decrease over the quarter, with downloads dipping to 11K and active users settling at around 214K in the final week.

For Paylib, le paiement mobile, there was no revenue to report, but the app maintained a consistent level of downloads, ending the quarter with a spike to over 16K. The app's weekly active users saw a rise, concluding at 25K in the last week of March.

Money Manager Expense & Budget showed a notable surge in downloads towards the end of the quarter, jumping from 7K in mid-February to an impressive 40K by the end of March. Revenue remained modest but steady, with around $2K in the last week of March. Active users grew significantly, reaching 175K in the same period.

Lastly, Tricount - Split group bills had a revenue ranging between $700 and $1K per week throughout the quarter. Downloads varied, with a high of 30K in late December, but ended the quarter at around 9K. Weekly active users saw a downward trend, starting at 131K and reducing to 81K by the end of March.
